Last Friday, August 26th, the Pep Club held a Tailgate at 5:30 before the first home game of the football season. Members of the pep club gathered after school for burgers, face painting, and corn hole. Zachary Washburn, a current senior of WHS and a leader of Pep Club, feels that the tailgate is a great way to boost the club’s school spirit. “We’re just really trying to get the school spirit of the whole club up,” said Washburn.

Washburn encourages students to join the pep club in the future.”You should join the Pep Club because it’s the most fun club we have to get involved,” said Washburn. If you are interested in having some fun and keeping up your high school’s spirit, consider joining Pep Club next year. “It’s so much fun to have school spirit, school moral, and really just make the games more enjoyable,” Washburn said.
