Hello Giants! Here’s what is going on at WHS:

General:

  • Check out our new Giant Jams playlist on GiantWord.com! Comment on the link to tell us what YOU want to hear in our next playlist.
  •  The senior class council is having a Halloween trail at Berkeley Glenn elementary Saturday, October 27th. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for kids under 7. For “little” kids the time would be 6-7 and 8-11 for “big” kids.
  • Waynesboro High school Concert Choir presents its annual Fall Variety Show featuring the music of the smash hit musical, Mamma Mia. Concert will be presented on Saturday, October 27 at 7:30 PM and Sunday, October 28 at 3:00 PM in the John Louis Spilman Auditorium at WHS. Tickets are $8 for Adults and $5 for students and available at the door.

Clubs:

  •  Are you ready to impact kids around the world this Christmas? If your answer is YES, then join the Latin club as we collect donations and prepare shoe boxes filled with gifts for children who otherwise may not experience the joy of Christmas. Bring toys, hygiene items, coloring books and school supplies to Mrs. Sati’s room, or simply come and grab a box and return it full by November 14th. “What goes in is fun, what comes out is eternal!”
  • Your education does not always have to be an uphill battle. That’s why you should learn to go downhill in high school with the ski and snowboard club! For tips on how to go downhill fast, talk to Nigel Stewart, Caleb Weeks, or Lauren Porter! To pick up your club forms, see Mr. Johnson or Mr. Wion. Tutoring is available!

  • Seniors:  If you have a college deadline in October or the first of November make sure your counselor has your college folder.

  • For students interested in Governor’s School next year, there will be an informational meeting in the Waynesboro High School Library on Thursday, November 1, at 6:30 p.m.   Ms. Whitesell from Governor’s School will be here to share information about the STEM and Arts & Humanities programs as well as discuss the application process.   Students will be able to sign up for shadowing at Governor’s School.
